They're not, really. An aircraft may have a wheel, but it also has levers for adjusting ascent and descent. There's a lot more atmosphere than there is road, with more specific hazards to be aware of.

Not to mention: weather patterns, wind resistance, visibility, air pressure changes.

but unfortunately, the writers were soooo obsessed with jinx and her redemption arc that came up with this ridiculousness and decided to write jinx saying " i didn't know your mom was there". when jinx is/was a fucking stalker throughout all season 1, was insanely obsessed with caitlyn, and totally knew caitlyn's mom was a very important woman; thus, she knew she would be in an important building with all the important people inside having a very important meeting. sorry for the meta tag, but i seethe and have to deal with this nonsense in roleplay that makes it difficult to justify. thank you for reading my ted talk. anyway, back to actual writing.]
